Jacksonville Non-Profit Hearts 4 Minds Teams Up With Haymaker Coffee Co. to Promote Mental Health Awareness
JACKSONVILLE, FL (June 1, 2022) - To spread awareness for mental health, local business Haymaker Coffee Co. is teaming up with non-profit Hearts 4 Minds. Haymaker Coffee Co. will donate 15% of their June profits purchased with promo code H4M at checkout to support Hearts 4 Minds’ goal of altering how people look at mental health.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, nearly one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness, totaling 52.9 million in 2020. This number represented 21% of all U.S. adults. Hearts 4 Minds’ mission is to alleviate their suffering and improve care and the quality of care for the mentally ill.

Sheryl Johnson founded Hearts 4 Minds in response to her son, Alex, losing his life after battling depression and anxiety in 2017. Wanting to give life to Alex’s memory and meaning to his life, she set out to break the stigma of mental health and improve care for the mentally ill. This includes improving the quality of care, becoming a resource on mental health, connecting those who need help with providers, and providing financial assistance for those who need it.
